• Year 1 Visit the Theatre!

  Year 1 had a fantastic trip to The Regent theatre in Ipswich on the last day of term. They were impeccably behaved and all thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The Panto was highly amusing and a lot of fun to end the term with. A big thank you to the 'Friends' who paid for the transport to the theatre ensuring all of year 1 could enjoy their 11 by 11 enrichment trip. 

  

• Little City Visit EYFS

  Last Friday Little City visited the school and our Nursery and Reception children engaged in some fabulous role play opportunities. A big thank you to the Nursery parents who attended as well as Kate Powell who ran our Little City session. We would also like to kindly thank EDF Energy for providing the funding for this visit.

  

• French Singing

  This morning we welcomed the residents of Charles Miller Court for a French themed morning. They enjoyed a game of bingo and a cup of tea with Year 5 before being entertained by the different year groups sharing the wonderful French songs that they have been practising this term.

• My Smile Award

  The children in Reception and Year 1 have been working towards the My Smile award since September. The award includes daily tooth brushing at school and promoting tooth friendly snacks for the children.

  We are so pleased to announce that we have achieved the My Smile accreditation award!

• Year 6 Residential

  Before half term some of our Year 6 children visited Kingswood for 3 days for their residential.  The fun action packed days included climbing, team games, fencing to name just a few.  The children had a fantastic time!

  

• The Kings Coronation Celebration

  To celebrate the Kings Coronation we invited children to dress with a red, white and blue theme. We also held a celebration event with the Leiston branch of the Royal British Legion Band and our Friend’s Association providing refreshments. We also held a wonderful art exhibition made by the children based on ‘The Tree of Life’.

  

• Year 1 visit the Theatre!

  Last week Year 1 visited Norwich to watch The Tiger Who Came to Tea at the Theatre Royal.  The children had a great day and enjoyed watching the story come to life at the theatre.  

  

• World Book Day 2023

  We celebrated World Book Day with hot chocolate, slippers, teddies and our favourite books.  The children enjoyed taking part in a DEAR event - when the bell rings at different times throughout the day the children drop what they are doing and pick up their books.  The children also enjoyed taking part in a shared reading event where they got to read with different children across the school.  The day was finished with each child having a tasty hot chocolate!

  

• St Giles Trust Visits Year 5 and 6

  Today we welcomed Jacob and Arianna from St Giles Trust into school to talk to the Year 5 and 6 children about making the right choices with their behaviour and staying safe in the community. They both commented on how well the children listened and behaved during their sessions.
