Leiston walks to the Olympics!
Fri 18 Jun 2021Miss Wells has set all of the children a challenge!
As we all know the numerous lockdowns have had quite a toll on not only our own physical health but the health of our children. So, to try and address this and get Leiston Primary School moving again, this half term the teachers have a challenge for you… can we as a school collectively walk the distance from Leiston to Tokyo where the Olympic games are being held this year? This means our target would be to walk 5,858 miles collectively over the next few weeks by the end of the summer term. It is actually quite achievable if everyone chips in with a few miles each week.
So far we have walked 54.2 miles, keep up the hard work!

Year 6 Sailing!
Fri 11 Jun 2021On Wednesday 9th June Year 6 visited Aldeburgh Yacht Club, a brilliant day was had by all. Year 6 learnt how to tie different sailing knots, learnt about the different parts on the sailing boats. They also learnt how to take parts of the boat a part and then had a race to see who could put them back together fast enough. The children even got to ride in a speed boat!
This was such a fantastic opportunity for the children in Year 6, their behaviour and listening skills were exceptional.
